James was born and raised in New Jersey, before moving to Alabama in 2015. He has worked at the library since November of 2015. In May 2020, he graduated from Auburn University with a degree in Public and Professional Writing and is currently pursuing a Master of Library and Information Studies degree from the University of Alabama.
