Tara Bryan began her career with the City of Opelika in 2010 as a Court Magistrate. In
June 2017 she transferred to the Probation Department for the City of Opelika as a
Probation Officer. Tara is currently enrolled at Troy University and will attain her
bachelor’s degree in Criminal Justice in the near future.
She has recently been promoted to Senior Municipal Probation Officer where she
supervises operations of the Probation Department for the City of Opelika, in
compliance with local and State of Alabama laws and regulations and supervises the
probation officer. She is also responsible for maintaining a portfolio of probationer’s
individual case records for future review. In addition, she informs, explains and advises
probationers on the terms and conditions of probation, including office visits, financial
payments, education/employment stipulations, treatment programs, curfews and other
special conditions ordered by the court and coordinates community service.
Tara and her family are members of The Bridge Church where she and her husband,
Andrew have been serving as youth pastors since 2011. They have 2 beautiful children.
