    If you need a replacement card for any reason, January is the month to get it! All month long the replacement fees will be waived so you can get a shiny new card to celebrate the shiny new year! (Must get new card in person. Parents can get new cards for dependent children.)

  3. A Korean Cinderella Story

    2019’s Korean Cultural Experience presents A Korean Cinderella Story, starring performing artists of the Musical Kong-Na-Mul Group. This performance puts an Eastern twist on a classic tale and highlights the interaction between humans and and mythical creature, as well as good and evil. Audiences will be treated to unique elements of traditional Korean folklore, and traditional and modern dance and music in this comedy showcase.

    Homeschool Coding at the Lewis Cooper Jr Memorial Library is going to teach your kids how to make website, apps, and games in a fun environment. Give them much needed exposure to STEM education and let them get ahead of the crowd. Note: This is the same program as our regular Code Club and Code Club Jr. but offered during the day and geared towards homeschooling families. (Ages 9 and up)

    Frances Robb: “Talking About Tallulah” Tallulah Bankhead (1902-1968), Alabama’s most celebrated actor, was a talented performer, Jazz Age celebrity and a determined champion of racial equality. This presentation has three parts. The first presents Bankhead’s most notable achievements. The second describes Bankhead’s personal life, including her noted Alabama political family, her difficult upbringing, success on the English stage, early appearances in film and stage, and her emergence as a talented actress. The third documents Bankhead’s work for racial tolerance and equality, including her encouragement of black sports figures and musicians, her showcasing of black entertainers on The Big Show , and her forthright views that talent has no color bar and that racial equality was long overdue.
