The Alabama Municipal Electric Authority (AMEA), along with the City of Opelika, presented V3 Media Group with a $5,000 grant from the AMEA Special Projects Economic Development Fund. V3 received the grant based on the company’s investment in a new facility and the jobs they created in Opelika. V3 bought an historic building in downtown Opelika and did a complete renovation. This is another example of revitalization and economic growth in downtown Opelika. The AMEA Special Projects Fund is a program designed to assist its member communities with community and economic development projects.
