Beginning October 1, 2023 Opelika Power Services will not accept credit/debit card payments in excess of $500.00. The residential customer charge will increase from $19.50 to $21.50. The residential Kilowatthour (KWH) rate will decrease by $0.002 per KWH. Maximum deposits of $325 can be avoided by taking advantage of our new pre-paid meter option.
