Beginning Tuesday, September 5, Country Club Road, which is shared by Auburn and Opelika, will be permanently closed to traffic as par of work to extend the Auburn University Regional Airport's runway safety zone.
Traffic control measures will be in place beginning next week, August 21 - 25, to notify motorists of the pending closure. Drivers are advised to find alternate routes moving forward. Saugahatchee and Airport Roads will remain open.
