Two areas will be affected in the upcoming weeks with ADA sidewalk improvement work.
Tiger Town - Beginning Monday, May 8th, construction crews will be on-site at Tiger Town along Enterprise Drive to pick up where they left off last fall. Work will begin near the Shoe Station store and will proceed along Enterprise until the sidewalk replacement is complete along that street up to Frederick Road. Construction will be ongoing for at least 6 to 8 weeks.
City Hall - Crews will be removing the existing handicap ramp at the Avenue A entrance and building a much more spacious and friendlier ADA ramp at this location. This will necessitate the closure of that entrance, so all foot traffic must be directed to the 7th Street South entrance. The Avenue A parking spaces at that entrance will require barricades to give the construction crew ample space to perform the work. There will also be some sidewalk work performed on the east side of the building between and near the current drive-thru area and the main parking lot on that side of the building. The City Hall work will begin on Monday, May 15. This project will be completed within 3 to 4 weeks if weather permits.
We ask for everyone's patience during this period.
