Friends of Wood Duck Nature Preserve will conduct a Nature Walk Saturday, January 21st - rain or shine. Of special interest: migratory birds, especially waterfowl and warblers; resident Wood Ducks are returning to nesting boxes; Opelika Charlie Woodchuck; and identification of forest trees. Several loaner binoculars available.
Time
7:30 a.m. - Coffee and snacks for early birds
8:00 a.m. - Walks to the two covered viewing houses begin
The walk usually takes about two to three hours, but people may return to the parking area at any time.
