Auburn Street/South Long Intersection Updates

Beginning tomorrow (September 6), a city contractor will be closing the west end of Auburn Street at the intersection of South Long. This is work that was in the original plan for the Frederick Road project. A barricade and a “No Outlet” sign will be placed at the end of Auburn Street. The asphalt will be removed and the area will be grassed.  There should be ample room for vehicles to make a three-point turn at the closed intersection.  Attached is a map showing where this work will take place. For more information, contact Scott Parker, City Engineer, at 334-705-5450.
