On 05/10/2022 around 12:25 AM, Opelika Police Officers responded to an alarm call at Gateway Tire and Auto, located at 2023 Pepperell Parkway. Upon arrival, officers contacted 34-year-old Jeffrey Sullivan from Tallassee, AL, trying to leave the business. Officers then located a cut in the fence at the rear of the business and recovered electronic power tools, gloves, bolt cutters, and two damaged catalytic converters, which had been stolen. Sullivan was arrested for Theft of Property, Second Degree, and Possession of Burglary Tools.
