[ARCHIVED] OPL ANNOUNCES 2022 READING CHALLENGE

Looking for some reading inspiration?! Participate in our 2022 Reading Challenge! Here's what you do: 

1. Read a book that matches the monthly theme. 

2. Take a picture of the book and post it to your Facebook or Instagram page with a one or two sentence review. [If your account is set to private, we won't see the tags. In this case, please send us a screenshot of your post to [email protected]

3. Tag Opelika Public Library and use the hashtag #OPLReads 

Everyone who completes the challenge (12 total posts: one from each category) will be entered in a drawing for an AWESOME prize next January.

  • January: Historical Fiction
  • February: Has Someone's Name in the Title
  • March: Ask a Friend for a Recommendation
  • April: A Non-Fiction Best Seller
  • May: Inspired by Legend, Mythology, or Folklore
  • June: A Classic Novel
  • July: True Crime
  • August: Young Adult
  • September: A Book the has Been Banned
  • October: Memoir or Autobiography
  • November: Re-red an Old Favorite
  • December: A 2022 Award Winner
