[ARCHIVED] Message from Chief

On behalf of the members of the Opelika Police Department, I want to welcome you to our new website.

Our department is committed to community policing and providing the best service to the citizens of Opelika. We are fortunate to have a dedicated group of men and women who are passionate and committed to our values and providing an environment where citizens can live without fear of their safety. We recognize that trust and confidence are earned and we are committed to addressing the concerns of our community.

As you navigate the site you will see the Opelika PD provides a variety of services focused on enhancing the safety and quality of life of our citizens. We invite community members to participate in our community-related programs and events, including the Citizens Police Academy, Youth Camp and National Night Out.

Our goal is to make our website and app a good source of information and resources for our citizens and visitors to our community. Please feel free to reach out with any ideas or suggestions you have.

It is my honor to serve as your Chief of Police and I look forward to your continuing support and partnership as we work to keep Opelika safe.

Shane Healey
