[ARCHIVED] Fall Events and Trick-or-Treating

Fall Noon Tunes: We are excited to bring back Noon Tunes this fall. From noon - 1 p.m. on Wednesdays, come out and bring your lunch to courthouse square for some live music! October 6 - Silky Tone, October 13 - Mark Tune, October 20 - Jessie Lynn, October 27 - Muse. 

Fright Night at the Villa - Join us for a horror movie at Spring Villa Park on October 8 from 6:30 - 8:30 p.m. - adults only. Viewer discretion is advised.  Bring your lawn chairs and blankets. 

Halloween Movie + Eerie Express - October 9, 6-8 p.m. come out to Municipal Park for a spooky, family-friendly night featuring a kid-friendly Halloween movie and train rides around the decorated park. Train rides are $2. CASH ONLY

Illegal Narcotics Identification Class - Our Narcotics Unit will be hosting an Illegal Narcotic Identification Class for Opelika parents, educators and youth leaders on Thursday, October 14. The class will be held at the Opelika Police Department from 6-7 PM. Our detectives will provide interactive education and attendees will have the opportunity to ask questions. Please register by emailing Allison Duke at [email protected] by October 12.

Halloween Drop-In - On Thursday, October 21, 2021 6 - 8 p.m. is a special occasion drop-in featuring food, fun and games for 3rd-5th graders. Take a trip through our haunted rec center.. if you dare!  $10 a child.

Great Pumpkin Splash - Friday, October 22, 2021 from 6 - 8 p.m.  The Opelika SportsPlex Pool is transforming into a floating pumpkin patch! Pick a pumpkin and decorate it for Halloween. Ages 6-12. Must pre-register by 10/18.  $4 per person. 

Fall Family Festival - Tuesday, October 26, 2021 at SportsPLEX from 5:30 p.m. - 8:30 p.m. Carnival games, "Not So Spooky" Hayride featuring visits with movie characters, inflatables, candy and prizes, food vendors and entertainment. Wristbands are $10 and give you unlimited access to all activities. Parent/sibling hayride wristbands are $1. A bag of 20 tickets is $5. Wristbands and tickets may be purchased in advance at the Opelika SportsPlex front desk (cash/check/credit/debit). All ticket/wristband purchases at the event are CASH ONLY.

Trick-or-Treating -  Official trick-or-treat date in Opelika city limits is October 28, 2021 from 5:30 - 8 p.m.

Tour de Fright - Friday, October 29, 2021 - Bicyclers beware! Parents and children of all age are invited to bring their bike and take a ride on the haunted walking trail! Meet in the rear parking lot behind the Opelika SportsPlex. All ages. Family-friendly. Bikes, trikes, scooters, strollers, etc are welcome.
