On 03/01/2021 the Opelika Police Department, with the assistance of Alabama Probation and Parole, arrested Fredrick Orlando Jenkins, 43 yoa from Opelika, AL, on a warrant for Assault, First Degree. Detectives identified Jenkins as the suspect in the assault that occurred in the 1000 Block of York Ave on 02/12/2021.

An Assault, First Degree, occurred in the 1000 Block of York Avenue. Upon arrival, officers located a 24 yoa male suffering from a stab wound. The victim was transported to Piedmont Columbus Regional Midtown for treatment for his injuries. The case remains under investigation by the Opelika Police Department.
