[ARCHIVED] Opelika SportsPlex and Aquatics Center to fully reopen on December 1st

Dear SportsPlex Members,

The Opelika SportsPlex and Aquatics Center staff hopes that you and your families are safe and remaining healthy during these unprecedented times.  COVID-19 continues to make a tremendous impact on our country and community.  The health and safety of our staff, members and community remains our priority as we navigate this pandemic.  As things continue to evolve, we wanted to reach out to you with an update.

We will fully open the Sportsplex Tuesday, December 1, 2020.  With that, we will resume bank drafts that have been suspended since April.  The first draft will be on or about Thursday, December 10, 2020.  We have implemented several cleaning and safety measures to make sure you are returning to a safe environment, including but not limited to, sanitation stations throughout the facility, cleaning weight room and cardio equipment regularly and limiting attendance in group fitness classes in order to social distance. Rest assured, the guidelines for social distancing, cleanliness and mask mandates from the Centers of Disease Control (CDC), Alabama Department of Public Health (ADPH) and the office of Governor Kay Ivey are being followed.

We understand you may not be ready to jump back in completely. If that is the case, we invite you to utilize our social media for trainer tips, “Form Fridays” and virtual classes (@opelikasportsplex).

If you have any questions, please contact Laura Leigh Chesser or Billy Jackson at 334-705-5560.  We can’t wait to see you again soon!
