One of the most popular on-leash dog walking areas in Opelika is Floral Park, a 28-acre park located in the heart of the community. It's beautifully landscaped and easily accessible and a perfect place for residents to bring their dogs. The City recognizes the importance of providing a safe place to allow dogs to run free off-leash, so we've made Floral Park home of the largest dog park in Opelika.
The small dog area is approximately 8,000 square feet and the large dog area is approximately 18,000 square feet. The park is located at 600 Floral Street, Opelika, Alabama, 36801. The Opelika Dog Park includes double entry fencing, signage, seating, pet waste systems, agility equipment and ADA compliance access to parking area.
City Administration is working with residents and Parks and Recreation to develop and grow this area. Come out and enjoy this new play place with your furbabies!
