CITY OF OPELIKA WILL TAKE APPLICATIONS FOR CARES ACT FUNDING THROUGH COMMUNITY DEVELOPMENT DEPARTMEN

The City of Opelika has been awarded funds through the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD) to assist low-to moderate income individuals and small businesses who have suffered a loss of income due to COVID-19.  Assistance will be available to offset the cost or rent or mortgage payments and utilities.

Once the city’s plan for use of funds has been approved by HUD and funding is received, the Community Development Department will begin accepting applications for assistance.

PLEASE NOTE: An announcement will be made on the city webpage, www.opelika-al.gov , social media outlets, and through local media outlets when the Community Development Department begins taking applications.  Applications are not being accepted at this time.
