The City of Opelika Planning Commission will meet April 28, 2020 at 3:00 p.m. (CST) in the Meeting Chambers in a VIRTUAL/ELECTRONIC MEETING with commissioners, staff and interested parties participating through video conferencing. Due to the ongoing public health concerns related to COVID-19, the City of Opelika will conduct this meeting remotely to protect the health and safety of the public, applicants, commissioners and staff.

This does require registering online prior to the meeting. If you do want to speak at a public hearing, it would also be helpful to let the Planning Department know ahead of time so that they can look forward to your participation. The meeting site will be opened at least 30 minutes prior to the meeting.
The City Council Chambers at 204 South 7th Street, Opelika, AL 36801 will be available as an alternate location for interested parties to virtually participate in the meeting. You will not be in the same location as any of the Planning Commissioners or staff. This location will only allow those who wish to comment on a particular item and do not have access to a computer or mobile device. This location is limited to 10 persons or less as stipulated by the Governor’s Executive Order. If possible, we ask that you use the virtual methods to participate from your home or provide written comment prior to the meeting. We also ask that if you come to this location that you practice social distancing and wear a mask.
