Field trip: Louise Kreher Forest Ecology Preserve and Opelika Wood Duck Heritage Preserve
Saturday, March 23, 2019
We are launching a new field trip to the Louise Kreher Forest Ecology Preserve- a 120-acre tract filled with seven natural habitats. At this stop, we will be looking for early spring migrants, Northern Parula, and Louisiana Waterthrush.
The second stop of the trip will be at the Opelika Wood Duck Heritage Preserve. This 73-acre intentional wetland also includes an old home-site. At this location, we will be looking for Wood Duck and woodpeckers.
