January 18, 2022 City Council Meeting

Posted on January 21, 2022 at 3:47 PM by Leigh Krehling

January is Human Trafficking Awareness Month and the City of Opelika is pledging to be a Trafficking-Free Zone. Through this program city employees will complete a training certification with the U.S. Institute Against Human Trafficking to learn how to demolish the demand for sex trafficking. The success of the program comes from the collaboration of law enforcement, businesses, and individuals working together to educate, enrage and engage.

At this weeks meeting, I proclaimed January Human Trafficking Awareness month. Full proclamation.
