Leigh G Krehling-7650Leigh G. Krehling joined the City of Opelika in 2016 as the Community Relations Officer. She has more than 25 years experience in the public relations, advertising and marketing field. Leigh is a proud graduate of Auburn University ('95). She and her husband Jamie have two sons, Whitt and Gus, and a house full of animals. She is actively involved in the community: Public Relations Council of Alabama Chapter in East Alabama (member), Leadership Lee County (graduate), Citizens Police Academy (member), Opelika ArtHaus (board member) and United Way of Lee County (board member). She is a member of the National Information Officers Association where she serves on the Government Committee; as well as a member of 3CMA (City-County Communications & Marketing Association). She is also a member of the Opelika Chamber of Commerce Governmental Affairs Committee and serves on the chamber's Total Resource Campaign..

In addition to her duties as Community Relations Officer, Leigh works with the Lee County Emergency Management Agency as a member of the Lee County Public Information Officer Task Force.

CaitlinAllenHeadshotCaitlin Allen filled the role of Community Relations Specialist for the City of Opelika in October 2022. She is originally from Montgomery, Alabama, and received a bachelor’s degree in Multimedia Journalism and Public Relations from Troy University. She has a background in marketing and event planning and is excited to continue expanding her skills with the City of Opelika. She and her husband, Chase, have been married since 2020. They have one son, McRae. In her spare time Caitlin enjoys spending time with family and friends, playing with her dog, Luna, catching up on her favorite TV shows, and cheering on the Auburn Tigers and Atlanta Braves.
