2023 Reading Challenge

Looking for some reading inspiration?! Participate in our 2023 Reading Challenge! Here's what you do: 
1. Read a book that matches the monthly theme. 

2. Take a picture of the book and post it to your Facebook or Instagram page with a one or two sentence review. [If your account is set to private, we won't see the tags. In this case, please send us a screenshot of your post to [email protected]

3. Tag Opelika Public Library and use the hashtag #OPLReads23 

Everyone who completes the challenge (12 total posts: one from each category) will be entered in a drawing for an AWESOME prize next January.

  • February: A book that has been made into a movie
  • March: A book with a two-word title
  • April: A book that is an author's debut novel
  • May: A book whose title starts with the first letter of your first name
  • June: A book with a beach on the cover
  • July: A book that intimidates you 
  • August: A book that is non-fiction from the 900s section of the Library
  • September: A book that you should have read in school
  • October: A book that has time travel
  • November: A book that is a graphic novel
  • December: A book that is set in a library or bookstore
