IN THE MUNICIPAL COURT OF OPELIKA, ALABAMA
STANDING ORDER REGARDING CHARGES FOR COPIES OF FILES
The Code of Alabama, as addressed herein, allows the Clerk to charge a fee for copies within her discretion and according to Alabama law may so charge that fee at any time. The Clerk has requested a standing order that allows her to provide free copies during the pendency of a case until the appeal time for the said case has run in order to accommodate all parties. Therefore, at the request of the clerk, each defendant and/or their attorney may receive a complimentary copy of any document in the file of the defendant until fourteen (14) days after the final order of the Court, if such is requested in writing. The Clerk shall accommodate parties within a reasonable time at her discretion in the order in which said requests are received.
All parties, fourteen (14) days after the final order has been issued and all non-parties will be charged according to Rule 30 ARJA.
