Police Department Family
The Opelika Police Department has slots for 86 sworn officers, plus additional slots for non-sworn personnel (jailers, records clerks, dispatchers, etc).
We are the 14th largest police department out of 310 departments in the State of Alabama.
Our Uniform Division operates on four days on / four days off work schedule, allowing for the maximum number of officers on patrol at any given time.
