The Human Resources Department provides a variety of services designed to attract and retain qualified, motivated employees committed to serving the citizens of Opelika.

The Human Resources Department recruits and refers applicants for available openings, conducts pre-employment checks to include drug test, criminal history and reference checks; however, the hiring department is responsible for interviewing and selecting candidates.

The Human Resources staff endeavors to interactively perform all Human Resource functions for the City of Opelika by providing responsible quality service to our employees, our city and its citizens.
