Accounting
The Accounting Department provides fiscal and financial support to the Mayor and all City Departments. Timely and accurate financial information is provided through budget and financial reporting, forecasting and procedure development.

Building Inspection Division
The Building Inspection Division is responsible for the approval and inspections of all construction within the city limits of Opelika.

City Administrator
The City Administrator serves under the direction and control of the Mayor, and advises the Mayor on the administrative responsibilities of the City.

Under the direction of the City Attorney, the Legal Department provides legal advice to the Mayor and the City Council.

Opelika Public Library
The mission of the Opelika Public Library is to provide free programs, activities, information, and technological access to the citizens of Opelika. These services include, but are not limited to, educational searches, leisure reading, computer access and classes, and various programs meeting the needs of our diverse community.

Mayor's Office
The City of Opelika is led by the full-time Mayor, who is the chief administrative officer and the City's governmental representative. The Mayor reports to the Opelika City Council regarding the City's functions and budgetary concerns.

Municipal Court
The mission of the City of Opelika Municipal Court is to provide the citizens of Opelika, Alabama and surrounding areas the opportunity of fair treatment for the enforcement of traffic offenses, municipal ordinance violations and state misdemeanor offenses adopted by City ordinance as offenses against the City of Opelika.

Municipal Probation
The Probation Department is dedicated to offender accountability, assisting the Municipal Court in the fair administration of justice, and to bring about long term positive change in individuals through effective supervision in compliance with local and State of Alabama laws and regulations.

The city’s Public Works functions have been managed by ESG Operations, Inc. and their “Team Opelika” crews since 2005.

Purchasing
The mission of the Purchasing Department is the procurement of supplies, equipment and materials used by the City of Opelika, consistent with high quality, timely delivery and the economy.

Revenue
The Revenue Department collects all incoming General Fund revenues for the City of Opelika and enforces tax ordinances within the city limits.
