The following days, and such others as the City Council may proclaim are approved paid holidays for all eligible employees except, public safety, emergency, and public utility department employees.
New Years Day - January 1
Martin Luther King Day - Third Monday in January
Memorial Day - Last Monday in May
Independence Day - July 4
Labor Day - First Monday in September
Veterans Day - November 11
Thanksgiving Day - Fourth Thursday and Friday in November
Christmas Day - December 24 and 25
When a holiday falls on a Saturday, the holiday shall be observed on the preceding Friday. When a holiday falls on a Sunday, the following Monday shall be observed as a holiday, unless otherwise designated by the City Council.
